Woah, it's been a while!

Rochester, MN
August 26th-29th
Another City... Another Chiropractor...

So after a not so great experience with the chiro in Sioux falls I was eager to find one that could actually help me out. Mike searched ones in Minnesota and found me one close to the hotel that did soft tissue repair. Once we go to Rochester I called to make an appointment and they said they would see me at 4:15 that day. I walked around the city to see what they had and found a very cool barnes and noble, fraggles, and read up on my olsen twins :) I took a cab over there and noticed that I was the only patient in the office. I met my doctor and he told me that he had been in a meeting in Minneapolis and came back to the office just to treat me. They were a new office but they knew their stuff. I had an hour long appointment where we did adjustments, soft tissue repair, repetitions, and he taped my knees with kinesio tape. He told me I would probably be sore the next day because of all the work he did and he was right.
Saturday was our first 3 show day and my body was pretty sore. My knees did already feel like they were getting better but I didn't risk anything so I still did the shows with knee braces and biofreeze. We made it through the day and my chiropractor even gave me a call to check up on how I was doing.
By Sunday I was feeling amazing!! I did both shows without knee braces and was thrilled! I thanked the doctor and even wrote them a great review on their google page. They fixed me up very well.

We got out of rochester and flew to Connecticut the next day... sounds like an easy task but yet again it turned into more of a chore...
There were too many in our group to go on our connecting flight from Chicago so some of us had to be placed on a second flight with a different airline. Unfortunately that airline was United. There were only 4 of us that were placed on the 2nd flight and we had to walk a mile to get to the United gates and then another mile to find ours. We sat there forever waiting for someone to come up to the counter since we still didn't have our boarding passes. They finally got there and we thought we were in the clear for the day.. until they announced that the pilot didn't like something that he found wrong with the plane and that they wanted to check it out before we boarded. Well apparently it wasn't just a little something because they told us we had to switch planes completely and that we needed to move to the gate next door. Everyone rushed over thinking we would board right away since it was past our board time but instead we sat there for over a half hour. The other flight had left already with the rest of our cast and crew on it and we were still waiting around. Finally they announced that the new plane we had switched to had a flat tire.. I really thought they were kidding, but they weren't. Once we finally got on the plane I passed out and woke up in Connecticut. Luckily everyone said they hadn't been waiting long since they got stuck on the tarmac after landing. We loaded up the bus and headed to the hotel.

August 30th- September 4th
Harford, Connecticut
A week full of surprises...

At this point I realized how close we were to Schatighcoke New York where dad and Alex were doing the fair! It was about a 2 hour drive and dad let alex take the truck to come and pick me up!! It was such a wonderful surprise that I got to see him and I spent the next few days playing with Lindy Looo and eating pancakes. Oh and working in flip flops which in turn made my feet black, but my knee's started to not feel so great by the next day and I opted to stay in the trailer for the rest of the day, better safe than sorry. I had a great time and am so happy that I get to see them!
Alex was planning on driving me home Thursday night with dads truck again until we found out that Aunt Trish, Uncle Rich and erin and emily were driving to Connecticut and were about to pass Albany. They stopped in to pick me up and we headed to the lake house for the night. They drove me into the city the next morning and I had a wonderful time :)
The rest of the day I went and got some lunch, and got some things at CVS. We were looking for postcards and were told that they were in the Old State House gift shop. We went to walk in the front door and right as I got my hand on the door knob a man was waving his arms like crazy for me not too. Apparently the governor was filming his next campaign commercial preventing us from coming inside. We went around the back to see if maybe there was a back way we could go. We were on the lower level and the lady told us to take the elevator up to the 2nd floor. Once up there we realized this was not where she meant for us to go, but while we waited until we could go downstairs the guy upstairs gave us a tour which included a wild animals room (all stuffed). There was a 2 headed calf, a 2 headed pig (in a jar), the tusk of a norwall (just like Mr. Norwall in elf!!) the rib of a whale which was as tall as me and a whale vertebrae, beautiful butterflies and lots of neat stuff. Once we were done with the tour they told us to go downstairs and we finally made it to the gift shop.
As soon as we walked in we saw Sesame Street stuff in the corner and made our way over. They had an Abby doll that didn't look scary or cross eyed but again she was $25 and I was still not ready to drop that for a stuffed animal. We picked out our post cards and Shannon went to cash out when the lady told her that everything in the store was 50% off!! So i finally got my Abby doll and she was only 12.50 :) Plus we got my girl Zoe her own little pal. We had a play date with our Abby, Zoe, Ernie, and Bert pals like a bunch of 5 year olds in our pajamas.
We had our first shows today in Hartford and there was a great audience for both. I got to hug a little girl in the audience which was so awesome and I made her day :)
2 more shows tomorrow and then I am off to Baltimore Monday! Can't wait to see Kim and Crim!! Then mom and Ashley on Friday, AND I get to set up my iphone!! So much excitement I might burst :D
More updates soon, sorry this one took so long, but its been crazy and hectic. Back to a normal schedule again next week!
much love
