Saturday July 31st:
Meeting Miss Abby...
So today we continued in rehearsal and got to dance on stage and work on all of the dialog and spacing. We learned another dance and started Old Mcdonald too. But during rehearsal it was my turn to be pulled out and go into costume fitting!! I will not tell you the specifics but in short, Abby is ADORABLE! And her super hero outfit is just too darn cute! She has a purple dress with a glittery cape! And you can't forget about her magic wand!
It was not as scary as I thought and I actually enjoyed it :)
Abby got to go out and meet the rest of the cast and show off her new super hero outfit and play in the cape ;)
It has been another fun day at Sesame Camp, but I am tired and need a shower :)
More to come!

MY SCHEDULE! (slightly revised)
Now remember, all of these cities and dates are subject to change. But so far this is what the website is selling tickets for, so it is most likely correct. Not exactly totally west coast.
But all of the cities up until Virginia were given to us on our tour schedule!! So I am almost positive that we will be there!!!

Let the Adventure Begin!!
Thursday July 29th:
Traveling into a new chapter...
What was supposed to be a very exciting day turned into an extremely stressful one! Upon arriving at the airport and getting the best surprise in the world (Alex standing there waiting for me) I learned that my connecting flight to Philadelphia was delayed and then later cancelled :( So after waiting around to see what happened Alex had to leave for work which was a terrible goodbye filled with lots of tears, and once mom knew that I was eventually getting on a plane at some point soon she then left too which led to more tears.
After getting through security I had another surprise waiting which was my Uncle Sam who works for the airline and was going to make sure that the rest of my day went as smoothly as possible. I was now flying to Albany and then connecting to Philadelphia after that.
I had to go outside in order to board this little hopper plane which was seated by weight and my bags were too heavy to come with me, but my Uncle reassured me that they would be getting to Minneapolis that night. After an extremely bumpy flight to Albany with probably the most miserable flight attendant I have ever come across I landed and waited at my gate for 2 hours to fly to Phillie. Once on the 2nd plane of the day (which thankfully was larger than the first and at least have 2 seats on each side of the plane) we pulled away from the gate and then were told we would be sitting on the runway for 40 minutes which turned into 50 minutes. Finally once we were there I had to run to my next gate to catch my flight to Minneapolis. I made it just as they were announcing boarding and set off finally for my destination!
Thankfully my bags were already there waiting for me and I got right in the car with Amanda #1 (there are 3) and headed towards the hotel. We got to talking and she told me that there is always a girl on tour from Buffalo :) She mentioned that she was from Byron, NY by Batavia at which point I told her that we have our warehouse for our carnival game stationed in Batavia. When I told her it was I GOT IT I swear she almost crashed into the median! She loves the game and was so excited about it... pretty funny. I guess someone that had been on tour the previous year had one of our I LOVE TO PLAY I GOT IT hats and that she was extremely jealous. Crazy funny, what a small world.. everyone loves i got it :) And now everyone in the cast wants to learn how to play and get their chance.
So once I got there and put my bags in my room I headed down to the little greeting party our performance director was having and was of course the last person there. We introduced ourselves and started to get to know one another but were all pretty exhausted and had to get up early for our 9am call the next morning.
We went back to our room and I talked with my roommate Shannon who is so nice, my age, and also new to the tour, which is great because we are going through all the same things together.
Friday July 30th:
Act 1 begins...
Our call was at 9am and we met downstairs in the parking lot of the hotel (by the ourdoor pool that i want to try out :)) We headed over to the rehearsal facility and met all of the biggie wigs of the company. Then we got to go SHOE SHOPPING! Haha, not exactly what it sounds like, but we had to go pick out the sneakers that go inside of our feet! Some people had to get 4 different pairs of sneakers, but I only needed one. I have never seen so many sneakers being purchased at once haha.. it was fantastic! After that we had our lunch break and then headed back to the facility to start learning Act 1 of the show! So far we have skipped all of the dialog scenes and have just been learning the dance routines so that everyone has something to do. We got through 2 and a half songs and I am having such a great time! We have our schedule for the next two weeks with rehearsals and wardrobe leading all the way up until our very first show in Wisconsin.
Also I found out today that we are actually doing shows in NY, PA, SC, VA and a lot of other cities on the East Coast as well!! So hopefully I will be seeing friends and family much sooner than I would have ever thought! And it is a possibility that I will be 2 hours from Bloomsburg PA while dad and Alex are there! fingers crossed that I am! Also I am hopefully going to be in Baltimore for a week too so I can go and see Kim and Crim! woohoo!
The end of day two and I am so far a very happy muppet :D
more to come! I will update as soon as I get a free moment/when anything fun happens!
